Latest News & Updates from HFS
Halfway through October already…nearly time for Halloween. Darker evenings are creeping up on us and the end of ‘British Summer Time’ is almost here. It’s already much colder over the last few weeks and at HFS HQ the heating is already fixed in the ‘on‘ position! Although we’re all still battling our way through the current pandemic, we’ve been exceptionally busy here at HFS; here’s a taste of what we’ve been up to…
- We’ve been working on another project for a longstanding client, at a new build care home in Enfield. HFS Ultima ‘Aspen White’ PVC wall cladding has been installed in a kitchen and food prep area. We used our 2 Part joint strip system throughout with our HFS Ultima 2 Part adhesive to fully bond the sheets to the existing walls. Pleased to say the project was completed on time and to exact specification.
- HMP, Wellingborough – one of our largest ever awarded contracts began this month, on behalf of Kier Construction. On a major project at HMP Wellingborough, in Northamptonshire, we’re installing Lampro smooth FRP cladding to 8 house-blocks containing 32 servery areas and 1 main kitchen block – which alone totals over 1000m2 of cladding. The system is being jointed with a 2 part PVC & Aluminium joint strip which has been specially developed for use in such environments as it cannot be removed once installed. This huge job will carry on through into the 1st quarter of 2021 so stay tuned for further updates!!
- At St. Saviour’s School, Oxton, Wirral we’ve installed our HFS Ultima ‘Aspen White’ to a kitchen area, store room and toilet area. The installation was completed with our 2 Part PVC Joint Strip and Transition Strip system with integrated neoprene seals for a hygienic finish. This is the 6th project that we’ve completed in the last 2 years for this particular local main contractor – and once again completed on time.
- Facebook, London – we’ve worked within tight timescales and with tricky access issues to deliver this project on time for our valued catering equipment client within a busy area of central London. Altro Whiterock W103 hygienic wall cladding with hot welded joints has been installed to the main kitchen, pot wash, decant kitchen, catering office & crockery store areas. We’ve also installed our hygienic 304 grade stainless steel wall cladding to the cookline – complete with stainless steel joint strips and external angles to create an easily cleaned, functional finish. Our work was finished with a resin transition strip to allow the flooring contractor to seamlessly tie in to our cladding and leave a finish that will be easily cleaned for many years to come.
