February – the month of romance and this year also a Leap Year…giving us at HFS an extra day to fit in all those jobs our customers want completing.      

Here’s just a snippet of what we’ve been up to lately…

Hotels, Restaurants, Bars & Pubs

• We’ve been working at 2 further sites in the continuous expansion of the popular wagamama food chain at opposite ends of the United Kingdom – Wembley and Fort Kinnaird.  Both sites are located on busy retail parks so deliveries of materials were challenging at times but as usual, the team successfully worked through to complete on time and to our usual high standards. A variety of wall finishes have been installed here in different areas of the kitchen and prep areas including HFS Ultima ‘Aspen White & ‘Mushroom’ Gloss Grey PVC wall cladding, Stainless Steel wall cladding to the Cookline and Aluminium Chequerplate wall protection to the high traffic areas including the delivery corridors in the Back of House
• Another pub in the Robinson’s Group – Y Bryncynan Inn, Nr Pwllheli – has received a refurbishment of the kitchen and food preparation areas, this time on behalf of a main contractor. The works comprised of new White PVC wall cladding complete with welded joints in the new, extended main kitchen and adjoining cold store area to replace the old painted and tiled walls. This, coupled with our Black Bofix GL & R13 tiles with a light grey weld to the same areas, gave the pub a new, clean and modern feel ready for their grand re-opening later in February
• Nandos Restaurant, Walkden is the 3rd restaurant in 2020 alone for this constantly growing popular food chain! Works have once again consisted of our HFS Ultima ‘Aspen White’ PVC wall cladding to all food preparation areas with our Pastels range ‘Slate’ PVC being chosen for the walls in the delivery corridor at the Back of House to bring a splash of colour into the job. Works have been carried out for one of our longstanding shopfitting clients and once again, a successful completion was achieved on time and to everyone’s satisfaction

Education

• HFS Ultima pastels range ‘Moonstone’ was the colour of choice for the refurbishment of 5 toilets at the UCLAN campus Harrington Building in Preston recently. All 5 toilets were having a complete refit to modernise. This included replacing the painted walls with HFS’ easy to clean, low – maintenance PVC which had been chosen to complement new IPS units and vinyl floor finishes which have been installed by others. Works were carried out in a tight timescale where space was at a premium as students were still working in adjacent rooms but with our experience of working in such environments, HFS have once again left a high quality finish that will stand the test of time
